How this site handles your data
Plain English. No dark patterns.
Section 1. What this site is
28shareholder.org is the movement site for the American Shareholder Amendment, run by the team behind the book Rebuilding Aristocracy. This page tells you what we collect, why, and what choices you have. No lawyers were harmed and no fog was added.
Section 2. What we collect
Basic server logs. Your IP address, browser, and which pages you requested, kept briefly for operations and security.
Privacy-respecting visit counts through Vercel Analytics. No cross-site tracking, no cookies, no fingerprint.
Anything you type into a form on this site, if we ever ship one. Only what you type. We do not read your contacts, your keystrokes, or your location.
Section 3. Advertising and cookies
This site carries advertising from Google AdSense. Google may set cookies and read identifiers to show ads and measure their performance. Their practices are governed by Google's Privacy & Terms (policies.google.com/privacy).
If you visit from a region that requires a consent dialog, Google's Consent Management Platform will show one the first time you arrive. Your choice controls which cookies get set. You can reopen the dialog at any time and change your answer.
The editorial position here is that advertising is bought space at the margins. Ads do not reflect endorsement. If a company named in the argument shows up inside an ad unit, that is the ad system at work, not our recommendation. Their marketing budgets help fund the record of what they have done.
Section 4. Your choices
Change or withdraw consent through the consent dialog, any visit.
Manage ad personalization across Google at adssettings.google.com.
Use browser privacy tools, private windows, or content blockers. The site will still load. Nothing on this site is behind a cookie wall.
Section 5. Third parties that receive data
Hosting: Vercel.
Advertising: Google AdSense.
Analytics: Vercel Analytics.
Those are the only third parties. We do not sell data. We do not share email, phone, or address data, because we do not collect them.
Section 6. Contact
Questions, complaints, or corrections go to the project repository on GitHub, or through the book at leanpub.com/rebuildingaristocracy.
